
Ruby & Sons Jewelry Service Plan:
Ruby & Sons Jewelry Service Plan (JSP) is available for PURCHASE at a nominal fee and covers new merchandise only. The service plan is based on the FULL retail price of an item, NOT the discounted sale price. We will provide labor and materials necessary to maintain the merchandise in a usable and wearable condition for normal usage of the merchandise under the conditions for which it was designed for a period of two years from date of purchase. What is covered:
- Sizing of rings includes any size smaller and up to two sizes larger than original; any additional sizing will be an additional charge.
- Cleaning or buffing of jewelry; bent or cracked shanks.
- Plating of white gold; soldering together of rings; engraving inside of rings.
- Any prong work, re-tipping, tightening, replacing head, bezel or
prongs,
settings. - Replacing any side stone up to .10 points total weight of like-kind quality.
- Solder breaks in chains, bracelets, and earrings.
- Supply or solder of connecting rings, end tabs, plungers, clasps and charms.
- Pin and tube repairs, box clasp repairs, figure “8,” safety chain repair.
- Earring back replacement with a limit of two per year.
- Pearl restrings, with or without knots; French ends; pearl clasp.
- All parts or materials will be like-kind quality of original.
This plan is for mounting only and does not cover the loss or damage of any
main stone or side stone larger than .10 points. We reserve the right to fix
or
replace item with like-kind quality of original.
To keep this agreement in effect:
- Keep all JSP records – Ruby & Sons does not keep an additional copy.
- Have jewelry inspected every six months at any Ruby & Sons.
- Have inspection signed by Ruby & Sons employee at time of inspection.
- Have any recommended work performed as deemed necessary at time of
inspection.
What will void this warranty:
- Not having jewelry inspected every six months.
- Loss of JSP paperwork/inspection card.
- Having any work performed by another jeweler other than Ruby & Sons.
- Having it determined that abuse or neglect has taken place (Ex: The
need for
the same repair more than two times in a 12-month period). - Not having the recommended work performed at the time of inspection.
- Selling the jewelry.
- Theft.
- Act of God.
This plan is in effect two years from date of purchase. This plan is for original purchaser and is not transferable. This plan is not renewable. This plan does not cover watches, estate, or Swiss Army Knives.
